The Blue Rooster | Our latest iconic print
...and Easter Escapism from Eleuthera, Bahamas.
We launch our most recent limited edition print with our friends at Blue Rooster, Harbour Island and celebrate some of the best hidden gems of Eleuthera this Easter.
The Blue Rooster
Hidden in the heart of Harbour Island in The Bahamas is one of the world's best and most understated beach shops, the Blue Rooster. We are proud to collaborate on an exclusive print featuring Blue Roosters no less! In deep sapphire blue and crystal aqua, reflecting the irresistible blues of the sea.
Leaving the Blue Rooster and heading for the beach, Oliver and Rose can't help but stop at the local straw stalls. A quintessential part of the Bahamian outer island life and Rose and Oliver’s absolute obsession. Beautiful sun hats, bags and baskets- all treasures made sustainably by local artisans.
'Idle Assembly’
Although not produced in Harbour Island, Rose and Oliver love the boutique rumIsle Assembly, which captures the spirit of Harbour Island in a bottle. The name comes from an old sign at Harbour Island’s Government Dock with a list of rules and regulations, including that there should be No loafing or'Idle Assembly’.
Hibiscus Hill
David Flint Wood, the man behind Idle Assembly rum, also redesigned the bar at The Landing hotel on Harbour Island, after the bar and hotel was destroyed by Hurricane Floyd in 1999. One of Rose and Oliver’s favourite rum bars. David and his wife India Hicks have designed several achingly elegant houses in Harbour Island. Their guest houses are the perfect place to stay for an idyllic island getaway, footsteps from the infamous pink sand beach. Admired by Ralph Lauren who says; “The seductive combination of international lives, classic British good taste (including its eccentricities), and the traditions and flavour of the Caribbean - cannot fail to inspire anyone who has the good fortune to land here.”
The Dunmore
Other best luxury boarding options on Harbour Island include Coral Sands and Pink Sands and then there is none other than The Dunmore. This quintessentially Bahamian boutique hotel reopens this November. The hotel “has the atmosphere of a private club and the charm of a different era”.
Briland Club
From a hotel that feels like a members club to the ultimate members club itself. Briland Club is one of the most exquisite clubs in the world, set over 27 stunning aches of Harbour Island it is home to jaw-dropping island residences and yachts in its marina - “the most coveted mega-yacht marina in the Caribbean.”
From the dizzy heights of Briland Club to the back-to-basics beach life. There is a special blend of bohemia and effortless luxury, that makes Harbour Island such a special island to Rose and Oliver and their family. A place which stirs deep inspiration and keeps us coming back for more.
