Zakinthos
An abundance of sunbathing seals in Grecian blues can be found in this exclusive print but the seals are not so easily found in the wild. The Seals were once spotted all around the shores of Greece and were considered a good omen by seafarers but Mediterranean Monk Seals are one of the most critically endangered marine mammals in the world today. Their species is threatened with extinction due the human pressure on their natural habitat and their future depends on the protection of their natural environment.
Ibiza Bay
Known as ‘the lungs of the sea’, the Posidonia Seagrass meadows are native to the Mediterranean and one of the most effective carbon sinks in the world. Able to soak up 15 times more carbon dioxide every year than a similar sized area of the Amazon Rainforest.
This signature print, ‘Talamanca Bay’, is designed exclusively for NOBU, Ibiza Bay and features white grasses floating on an Ibizan olive green. This captures the essence of the beautiful natural heritage of Ibiza Bay and its sea grass meadows.
