Each SUJÁN camp tells a story of a family that has been dedicated to conservation for over 50 years. These unforgettable travel experiences are a tribute to the rich natural and cultural heritage of the region. 

Today, two of the most significant remaining populations of Royal Bengal tigers and Indian leopards are concentrated in Rajasthan, a region of northwest India in which the ecosystem ranges from dry desert to dense jungle. It was within this rugged landscape that Jaisal Singh, the son of wildlife documentary filmmakers, spent his childhood, exploring the jungles of Ranthambore, now the world’s most famous National Park for observing tigers in the wild.

At age 20, Singh founded SUJÁN and built SUJÁN Sher Bagh, India’s first responsible safari camp, with a mission to preserve and protect this Indian wilderness he called home. Together with his wife Anjali, they now privately own and operate three seasonal tented camps in the state of Rajasthan.

SUJÁN Sher Bagh is cradled within the ancient forest of Ranthambhore, home to the Royal Bengal tiger. Here you can see these majestic creatures amidst ancient ruins of forgotten palaces and cenotaphs.

SUJÁN JAWAI is one of India’s most spellbinding wildernesses, where leopards roam free among ancient granite formations and peacefully coexist alongside rural communities.

Further west, SUJÁN The Serai sits like a mirage in the heart of Rajasthan’s desert scrub. This oasis of calm is woven seamlessly into the arid landscape and celebrates the region’s cultural significance.

Each camp is founded on the principle of safeguarding local wildlife and ecosystems, providing sustainable livelihoods to local communities and creating awareness about the vast natural and cultural heritage that is their legacy.
