Embrace the Andalusian Spirit at the Marbella Club
At the Marbella Club, time slows to the rhythm of rustling palms and sun-dappled terraces. Mornings stretch lazily into golden afternoons, inviting guests to surrender to the hotel’s tranquil pace.
The Marbella Club offers a chance to fall in love with Spain’s warm microclimate and its stunning mountain views. Here, the Andalusian spirit comes alive, encouraging visitors to unwind, breathe in the fresh sea air, and savour the finest of seafood.
The suites and villas at the Marbella Club are designed to feel as discreet as a private residence, each with their own unique character and charm. With a contemporary style, a soothing natural palette, and plenting of natural light, they’re a home away from home.
Savouring Every Moment
When it comes to food, the Marbella Club has a menu for every mood. From a leisurely breakfast on the sun-drenched terrace to after hours socialising in secret candle-lit corners.
For lunch, the Beach Club offers a vibrant atmosphere inspired by 1950s Acapulco, serving a grand buffet amidst minty greens and coral hues. As evening descends, The Grill provides an intimate setting where time-tested recipes come alive over a crackling fire, complemented by legendary silver service.
From Rustic Finca to Iconic Hotel
The Marbella Club began as the von Hohenlohe family’s serene Mediterranean escape, Finca Santa Margarita, and today the property is home to one of the finest resorts in the world.
In 1946, Prince Max von Hohenlohe, enchanted by his cousin Soriano’s tales of the Mediterranean, set off from Paris in his Rolls-Royce Phantom, winding his way south to Spain’s Andalusian coast. A simple picnic beneath the whispering pines of a secluded seaside grove would unknowingly mark the beginning of something extraordinary.
The following year, his son, Prince Alfonso, returned, unable to resist the quiet magic of this hidden paradise. He purchased the land, a rustic finca where fig trees and wild herbs thrived, and by 1954, the Marbella Club was born. What began as a private Mediterranean hideaway soon became a playground for aristocrats, Hollywood icons, and free-spirited creatives, all drawn to its effortless glamour and sun-kissed charm.
Today, it stands as a testament to a family’s vision and love for the region’s natural splendour, offering uncompromising comfort and endless gastronomic, cultural, and active pursuits. A place where long, leisurely lunches spill into golden afternoons, where the scent of orange blossoms lingers in the breeze.
“Elegant simplicity—it is the Marbella Club philosophy. It is our way of life.”
Prince Alfonso, Marbella Club Founder
Conservation Efforts
In the heart of the Marbella Club, an environmental endeavour is quietly unfolding. Partnering with Aula del Mar, the resort supports seahorse repopulation and habitat restoration in the Mediterranean. A specialised tank at the Kids Club nurtures seahorses in a controlled environment, aiding research and breeding efforts away from habitat loss and fishing threats. Eventually, these seahorses will be released off Portugal’s coast.
Meanwhile, volunteers study local seahorse populations and restore seabed grasslands, creating safe havens in Spanish waters. The initiative also raises awareness through workshops and training, engaging educators, tourism professionals, and the maritime community.
To celebrate our shared dedication to conservation efforts, we’ve created an exclusive print inspired by the Marbella Club’s Seahorse initiative.

The Print
'Seahorses & Orcas', is exclusively designed by LOVE BRAND & Co. founder Oliver Tomalin for the Marbella Club. The print sees the illusion of orcas jumping from waves within the mesmerising pattern of seahorse silhouettes. The design raises awareness for the diverse and sometimes surprising range of marine life found in the Mediterranean, from killer whales to tropical seahorses and everything in between.
