LOVE BRAND & CO. have teamed up with the pioneers of luxury travel A&K, to celebrate their 60th anniversary. To mark this noteworthy occasion, LOVE BRAND & Co. founder, Oliver Tomalin, has designed six exclusive prints, each representing a sentimental place to A&K's founder, Geoffrey Kent. This print symbolises the expeditions that A&K have in Egypt. A&K have been trailblazing travel for people all across the world for sixty years, and in the early 1980s, A&K was granted an unprecedented license to bring guests into Egypt. Kent took his inspiration from the (1978 Poirot classic) film, Death on the Nile, when he began the chapter of A&K making Egypt accessible to more tourists, which resulted in luxury cruises sailing down the Nile.
In November 1922, one hundred years ago, British archeologist, Howard Carter made the revolutionary discovery of the Tomb of Tutankhamun. This discovery allowed the Modern world to gain a stronger and more intimate understanding of the ways in which The Boy King was immortalised by his servants. With the A&K voyages in Egypt, guests are able to visit different historical sites to learn about the history of The Zenith of Egypt. Tours take place within the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where there are over 100 rooms for visitors to explore, including rooms adorned with items that were believed to be lost in time, until Howard Carter unearthed one hundred years ago.
A&K's, one of a kind, Sanctuary Sun Boat experience for guests will take you down the River Nile, making stops along the way for your daytime excursions. The luxury cruise has private suits all adorned with private bathrooms and mini bars; the communal areas on the boat are all mobile phone-free, and the internal areas are all smoke free, so that guests can enjoy a relaxing experience in every corner of the holiday.
