Is there really a better way to spend your honeymoon than with your toes in the sand, basking under the warm sun with something cold in hand? The beach is the perfect place to escape, watch the sunset, and savour those first magical moments together.

From Bahamian beaches to the shores of Hawaii, we’ve rounded up some of our best beach honeymoon destinations. All have been personally selected by the Love Brand team based on firsthand experience.

7. Barbados

Thanks to its spectacular sunsets, postcard-worthy beaches and world-class dining, Barbados has solidified itself as a top honeymoon spot.

While it's a popular destination, you won’t have to travel far to find a secluded beach, thanks to the sheer number of them. The West Coast is slightly more popular, surrounded by crystal-clear Caribbean waters. The East Coast, on the other hand, offers a quieter retreat with views of breathtaking, untouched natural beauty for your honeymoon inspiration.

6. Hawaii

Big Island is often seen as Hawaii’s top honeymoon spot. It offers couples a great mix of adventure and relaxation. With glistening waterfalls, snowy mountain summits, and active volcanoes such as Kilauea, Big Island has it all. Couples can even view eruptions and lava fountains at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

It’s a haven for stargazing and has an abundance of world-class resorts, including the Fairmont Orchid and Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.

Because of its size and it being so spread out, Big Island feels a lot less busy than other popular Hawaii destinations like Waikiki and Oahu. This makes it perfect for a more secluded Hawaiian honeymoon retreat.

5. The Seychelles

The Seychelles has an abundance of natural beauty, from white sand beaches to dramatic granite boulders and lush nature reserves. There’s a laidback calmness to the beaches here, and it's the perfect spot for island hopping.

Turtles are found in the waters off all the islands in the Seychelles, and if visiting between January and April, visitors can see hatchlings dashing for their first ocean venture.

Days can simply be spent basking on the beach, as famously, no time is ever wasted when toes are in the sand. Or for a more active escape, there are many local towns and bustling markets to explore. The Vallée de Mai National Park also offers spectacular scenery of lush palm forests.

4. Turks & Caicos

Situated southeast of The Bahamas (so you know you’re in for glorious weather), you’ll find the Turks & Caicos islands. With over 40 islands to explore, finding a secluded cove is easy.

Thanks to the watery location, there’s an abundance of incredible marine life to be spotted, including dolphins, turtles, eagle rays and humpback whales.

Our resort of choice? Pine Cay. The secluded private island is blessed with one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches. Be sure to pop in to our island outpost while you’re there.

3. The Maldives

The Maldives is well-renowned as one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. The iconic overwater villas offer a private retreat like no other, gazing out onto cerulean waters and tropical scenery.

There’s an abundance of Maldivian atolls dotted around the Indian Ocean, so the choices of where to stay are endless. Soneva Fushi, One & One Reeti Rah and Six Senses Laamu are some of our favourite choices.

The best time to book your stay is during the dry season, which falls between November and April. At this time expect sunshine, low humidity and calm waters, perfect for scuba diving or snorkelling.

2. St. Lucia, Caribbean

With lush tropical rainforest, dramatic volcanic peaks, and sandy beaches, St. Lucia feels tailor-made for romance.

Couples can spend their days sailing along breathtaking coastlines, soaking in mineral-rich mud baths, or watching the sunset beneath the iconic Pitons.

Jade Mountain is our top pick for resort choice. It’s a 600-acre wonderland in the secluded southwest. Traditional hotel corridors have been replaced by sky bridges, allowing guests to be serenaded by the soothing sounds of the jungle at every turn.

1. The Bahamas

Our number one honeymoon destination is The Bahamas. Accessible directly or through Miami with tropical temperatures all year round and an endless choice of white and pink sand beaches, it's home to some of the best honeymoon spots on the planet.

Do a digital detox at the secluded private island resort of Kamalame Cay, just off the Andros Great Barrier Reef, it is is one of our favourites. Jetsetters like Serena Williams have chosen this for their honeymoon. So don’t just take our word for it.

Other favourites are The Potlatch Club and The Dunmore in Eleuthera. Or just jump on a cat and sail through the Exuma chain, past Staniel Cay, home of swimming pigs and the waters of James Bond’s Thunderball.

The Bahamas is generally great to visit all year round, although we’d recommend avoiding August-October due to the chance of tropical storms. And don’t forget to pop into our beach house store at Lyford Cay to stock up on resort essentials.

That's our round-up of the best destinations for a honeymoon. We hope we’ve helped inspire your travels. All that’s left for you to do now is pack your LOVE BRAND & Co. swimwear and be whisked away on the ultimate romantic adventure!
