SS26 Trending Colours for Swim Trunks

Trending colours for swim trunks this season, across the board, split into two distinct moods: ‘dopamine’ colours and refined muted tones.

On one side, we have ‘dopamine’ colours, unapologetically bright, vibrant, and uplifting. These are shades that radiate holiday vibes, evoke happiness and are all-around mood boosters. Think bright aquas like our Cay Green swim shorts, or punchy watermelon pinks, reminiscent of days spent on the island chasing the sun.

Balancing that, earthy tones and muted palettes are also trending, embracing natural tones like olive greens, washed sea blues and chalky pastels. These tones are more about quiet confidence and embracing understated luxury.

Trending Prints for Swim Trunks

This season, as a whole, swim trunks prints have become more considered. Floral prints are still prevalent (as we’re sure they always will be), but they’ve become more refined. Vintage Riviera styling, instead of loud “tourist shirt” styles. Softer palettes, hand-drawn details and a slightly faded finish give swim trunks that just-back-from-holiday feel.

At the same time, geometric prints are once again stepping into the spotlight. Clean lines, repeating shapes and balanced colour pairings offer a sharp, considered and sophisticated look. Rounding things off, nature-inspired motifs are a common and much-loved theme, from shells to tropical leaves and illustrated wildlife.

Sustainability is always at the heart of LOVE BRAND & Co., and our swimwear has been part of Love Brand’s DNA since day one. People are looking for soft-touch recycled fabrics that are quick-drying.

The swimwear industry, in general, has not been a friend to the environment. Nylon and polyester, the usual suspects in swimwear, come with a heavy environmental price tag. For example, nylon releases nitrous oxide during production. Nitrous oxide is a greenhouse gas 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide.

Love Brand Seasonal Trends

For the new season, the natural world inspires our colour palette. Our new Kerala Green hue is influenced by the deep green of the Kerala jungles in India, where wild elephants roam free.

Our swim trunks for men and kids also draw inspiration from the sea and the marine life that call it home. Turtles are embroidered on deep blues. Our new geometric print, “Turtle Story,” shows them holding fins in a subtle pattern that still remains playful.

These swim trunks reflect the colours of the Caribbean. They tell a powerful story of sea turtles and their ecological connections. This year, we are supporting the Antigua & Barbuda Environment Foundation (ABEF), part of the Conservation Collective, which helps protect vulnerable species in Antigua, including the iconic Hawksbill turtle.

Another new print, ‘Conch Harlequin’, is a playful print of colourful conch shells, reminiscent of a timeless harlequin pattern and the colours of the Bahamian dish ‘Conch Salad’.
