Sustainability matters. But when it comes to poolside style, it's a whole new ball game: enter our men’s sustainable swimwear.
Step into a world where sustainability meets style with every fibre. At Love Brand, we don't just walk the talk; we swim the swim! Our logo, two majestic elephants forming a heart, encapsulates our unwavering dedication to the planet. But it's not just a logo—it's a promise, exemplified in our men’s sustainable swimwear.
From the moment we handpick eco-friendly materials to the intricacies of printing, sustainability is woven into every stitch. Our swimming trunks aren't just made from any material—they're crafted from recycled plastic, transforming what was once bound for landfill into luxury resort wear.
While skinny dipping might be the most sustainable way to swim, Love Brand is a close second! Say goodbye to the days of sacrificing style for eco-consciousness. Our swim shorts are the epitome of chic, ensuring you make waves for all the right reasons…
Can Swimwear Be Eco-Friendly?
Absolutely, swimwear can be eco-friendly! Meet our Staniel swim shorts—each meticulously crafted from the rebirth of approximately 15 recycled bottles (500ml). So far our swim shorts have replaced 40,000 metres of virgin polyester or nylon with recycled polyester and we've used eight tonnes of recycled single use plastic.
From the inception of our debut collection, we've embarked on a journey of sustainability which permeates all the way through our company. Every button, tag, label and packaging piece proudly bears the badge of eco-friendliness, crafted from recycled or recyclable and responsibly sourced materials.
Why Choose Sustainable Swimwear?
There’s a world of reasons why sustainable swimwear reigns supreme. Regular swimwear production is a drain on our natural resources that took millions of years to form.
That’s why we use recycled polyester in our mens swim shorts. By breathing new life into old waste materials, we're not just reducing waste which would otherwise go to landfill, we're also preserving our invaluable natural resources.
Our swimming shorts aren’t just good for the planet, they also have luxurious comfort and high performance. Quick-drying and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, our eco-friendly swim shorts offer a level of softness that rivals traditional materials. So, whether you're relaxing by the pool or catching the next wave, you're not just making a stylish and practical choice, you're making a planet-friendly one too.

Why Are Nylon and Polyester Bad for the Environment?
Nylon and polyester, the usual suspects in swimwear come with a heavy environmental price tag. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to shake up the game with our men’s sustainable swimwear that’s as good for the planet as it is for your wardrobe.
Nylon and virgin polyester are not eco-friendly choices for swimwear. Nylon takes the eco-nightmare crown, releasing nitrous oxide in its production, a greenhouse gas that’s 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide, which lingers in the air for about 114 years before calling it quits. And yet, the wider fashion industry still can't kick the nylon habit.
Does Our Men’s Sustainable Swimwear Last Longer?
The short answer, yes! While traditional swimwear is designed for short-lived thrills, leaving a trail of landfill waste in its wake, we're rewriting the playbook. Many brands cut corners, opting for cheap materials and shoddy manufacturing to keep prices low, sacrificing quality and longevity in the process.
At Love Brand, that’s not how we do things. We make quality a priority because we want our stuff to stick around for the long haul. ‘Love Brand for Life’ is a core brand value and we’re proud to design and produce sustainable swimwear and beachwear, which if properly cared for, can last a lifetime and be passed down generations.
What Is the Most Sustainable Swimwear Fabric?
One of the most sustainable swimwear fabrics is recycled polyester. Recycled polyester, or rPET, has earned a B grade in the Made-By sustainable fabric ranking, positioning it on par with organic cotton as a recognised sustainable fabric. That’s why we’ve opted for recycled polyester for our mens swim shorts, coupled with the fabrics durability, comfort, quick-drying nature and overall high performance.
When it comes to luxury swimwear, using the ultimate sustainable fabrics can be tricky. By its nature swimwear requires the garment to not hold water, which is more difficult with natural fibres - they’re absorbent and often lose shape when wet.
We’re aware that recycling polyester is only a step in the right direction, not the ultimate solution so we’re constantly on the hunt for even greener fabrics and manufacturing innovations of the future.
