Morocco | Royal Mansour

Royal Mansour Morocco
Royal Mansour is one of our favourite hotels in the magnetic city of Marrakech. A true luxury paradise, a truly spectacular example of Moroccan design and hospitality, read on to find out more about this heavenly hotel…

Down The Pomegranate Road

Arriving at Royal Mansour is an adventure in itself, large clay and cement blush-coloured city walls surround this decadent hotel. Although the Royal Mansour sits in the centre of the city, you would not think it as you drive up the long quiet winding drive, with blooming lavender and roses at each side. Once you reach the front gates of the hotel, pomegranate trees sit in the courtyard and fountains splash away in the distance.

The interior of the Royal Mansour is ornate, with wonderfully Moroccan textures, edges and doorways - enchantingly elegant. The Royal Mansour is certainly not trying to distract you or lure you into generic luxury, on the contrary, it immerses guests into the soul of Morocco, exhibiting the traditional values of this North African country.

We could unfold forever about the gorgeousness of the hotel, the bar, the restaurant and the rooms, but our focus is completely captivated by the gardens and the pool. A true Moroccan utopia.

Poolside Paradise

Modern and geometric iron arches lead the way down to the poolside gardens, while white roses spiral around the slender metal. The walkway down to the sublimely manicured gardens is a sensory wonderland, with more lavender springing out from the earth, hazing in beauty.

The outside bar is a copper structure, laden with fruits that Royal Mansour guests graze on during lazy afternoons under the Moroccan sun. The outdoor bar and restaurant are designed with this geometric iron design, bringing a contemporary feel to the hotel. Palm trees are placed throughout this small outdoor courtyard, with string lights reaching from trunk to trunk.

Royal Mansour serves all sorts of different varieties of tea, from jasmine to mint to earl grey, and in the early afternoons you can sit under the shades of the palms sipping on the sweetness of Morocco. The seating areas are perfectly curated to ensure guests are comfortable, lounging on plush colourful pillows as the sun sweeps across the North African Skies.

The pool at The Royal Mansour is like a mirage in a blistering desert, surrounded by clay-coloured pool houses and a bar, its minimalist rectangular shape seeps deeper and deeper much like the shore, immersing guests slowly in the cool waters. A variety of pool floats are scattered around the edges, enticing guests to lounge for hours on end.

A Royal Retreat

The Royal Mansour is a slice of heaven on earth, reluctant to be ordinary, this hotel goes beyond and truly provides guests with a Moroccan experience. Allowing all who visit a taste of the luxurious side of Marrakech and a chance to live and breathe Moroccan tradition yet vibe with its contemporary spirit. We would highly recommend this wonderful palace if you are planning to trip to Marrakech soon.
