7. Cancún, Mexico
Cancún is famous for its long white-sand beaches and bright blue water. It’s ideal for winter travel, with average highs of 29°C during the last few months of the year.
There’s an abundance of things to do, from exploring the natural underground water sinkholes to day trips to see the famous Mayan ruins. Whether enjoying the warm, clear waters or trying out the nightlife, Cancún is a great place to rid the winter blues.
6. Mauritius
Where better to get away in winter than to a tropical island? East of Madagascar, Mauritius is surrounded by coral reefs and crystalline lagoons. The calm, clear waters make it perfect for snorkelling, kayaking and relaxing dips.
November marks the start of the warm summer season on the island, welcoming hot days and lots of sun. Daytime highs average around 29°C, with January being the warmest month of the year.
5. Phuket, Thailand
As Thailand’s largest island, Phuket has something for everyone. Retreat to a secluded hideaway for two, gather the family, or go all out with a party escape.
Phuket has an abundance of powdery, sandy beaches, as well as impressive cultural landmarks. Make your way up Nakkerd Hill to see the impressive 45-metre marble Big Buddha, or visit the ornate shrines at Wat Chalong temple.

The Seychelles offer a warm, tropical escape for a welcome break from wintery weather. With temperatures on the archipelago hovering around 30°C, it’s perfect for slow mornings and ocean dips.
Winter is also turtle hatching season for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Lucky visitors can catch baby Hawksbill and Green turtles hatching on the beaches and making their first journeys into the sea.

With 365 beaches to choose from, Antigua & Barbuda is made for escaping the winter chill. Spend your days exploring powder-soft sands, swimming in warm turquoise waters or sailing along the island’s pristine coastline.

Our number one destination to visit in winter has to be The Bahamas. With warm, dry weather and refreshing ocean temperatures of 23°C, it’s the perfect place to kick back. Be sure to pop in to our Bahamas store during your visit to find all the beachwear you’ll need.
The best weather for water sports is in the winter months, and clear conditions also make it great for divers. It’s also peak whale-watching season, as majestic humpback whales migrate through Bahamian waters between January and March.
Winter is also a season to celebrate on the island country. The iconic festival of Junkanoo peaks on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day with parades, costumes and, of course, music.
