The swimming pigs started when resistants of Staniel Cay moved their pigs to a nearby island and when the farmers came in boats to feed them, the hungry pigs started getting in the water to greet the boat.

Staniel Cay is a popular stop-off when sailing The Exumas and offers diving, swimming with nurse sharks and even swimming with an underwater grand piano! David Copperfield commissioned an artist to make a life-sized replica of a grand piano with a mesmerised mermaid leaning on the stool.
