We are so excited to announce this charity project that we will be championing this year. We will be supporting The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphans’ Project, a project that focuses on providing orphan elephants in Kenya with lots of TLC and the vital formula milk that they depend on for survival as they are being hand-reared by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust team.

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a charity that is very dear to our hearts and a charity which has made extraordinary strides within Africa to protect and preserve the wildlife.

All of us at Love Brand were greatly inspired by the late Dr. Dame Daphne Sheldrick DBE, founder of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, who was a champion of animal conservation and a voice for African elephants across the globe for over 60 years. It is Daphne Sheldrick’s incredible devotion to African wildlife and elephants in particular that inspired Love Brand to support this project. The opportunity to contribute to a project that is committed to giving young elephants the best chance at survival was greatly welcomed.

The project is based in Nairobi, Kenya, where elephant populations continue to struggle in the battle against loss of habitat, human-elephant conflict, deforestation, drought and poaching. These threats have increased the number of elephants that find themselves orphaned with a slim chance of survival.

The Orphans’ Project aims to offer young elephants hope for the future; the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has effectively reintegrated over 100 orphaned elephants back into the wild, having hand-raised them from infancy using the special formula milk.

Love Brand has committed to fund more than 1,800 tins of powdered milk which is needed to make the special formula – enough to provide a year's worth of milk for an orphan elephant at the Nursery being fed two bottles of milk every three hours.
