Staniel Cay is a Bahamian cay in The Exumas, an archipelago of 365 islands. The islands were used as the location for a famous underwater fight scene in the James Bond film Thunderball and 'Thunderball Grotto'. The surrounding area is also a very popular diving spot.

The infamous swimming pigs of Staniel Cay have become a worldwide phenomenon, with visitors arriving from all corners of the Earth. 'Pig Beach' is a small nearby island known as Big Major Cay. The swimming pigs started when resistants of Staniel Cay moved their pigs to a nearby island and when the farmers came in boats to feed them, the hungry pigs started getting in the water to greet the boat. 

Staniel Cay is a popular stop-off when sailing The Exumas and offers diving, swimming with nurse sharks and even swimming with an underwater grand piano! David Copperfield commissioned an artist to make a life-sized replica of a grand piano with a mesmerised mermaid leaning on the stool.
