We believe that style and sustainability must go hand in hand. As well as our promise to help elephants, we have a commitment to the environment.
Playing for keeps
At LOVE BRAND & Co. our products are simple, sophisticated, comfortable and kind. We donate to wildlife conservation with every sale, giving 1% of our revenues, not profits, to conservation charities together with '1% for the Planet'. Our goal is to make products you will love and look after. We create products stand that will stand the test of time, worn as casual staples at home or during unforgettable holidays. We hope our timeless designs can be passed onto the next generation to enjoy.
Made from good stuff
We are a 100% Vegan brand. This means we do not use any animal derivatives in any of our products. Our latest resort wear are made using certified organic materials and Corozo nut buttons. Our latest Staniel Swim Shorts are made from certified 100% recycled plastic. We continue to actively incorporate the ever-growing range of high-performance eco-conscious textiles into our collections.
PRINTING & DYEING
Our brand is built on a love of print and colour. Our swim shorts are printed by dye-sublimation which produces zero waste and removes the need for water in the printing process. Our linen shirts are digitally printed, using less water and less ink and with an overall 30% lower carbon footprint than traditional rotary printing methods.
More than 95% of all LOVE BRAND & Co. products, including the fabrics themselves are produced in Europe. Only our peak caps our made outside the EU in Asia. Our supply chain values worker’s rights and all staff are paid the national living wage. Our factories are committed to reducing their environmental impact, continuously looking to reduce water consumption, chemicals and waste.
TRIMS & PACKAGING
Recycle where possible
We carefully develop our products and packaging based on our Sustainability Policy. We use environmentally friendly and recycled solutions where we can throughout our product and packaging design. All buttons used in our latest collections are made from Corozo nut. Our product hang tags, woven labels, garment bags, mailboxes and carrier bags are all recycled.
Loving our Planet
We have teamed up with Greenr, a social enterprise using technology to connect you to carbon offsetting programmes in a transparent way.
By offsetting the emissions of your order, you are ensuring that your carbon footprint is offset via one of their reforestation, bore hole or fuel efficient stove projects. Green's portfolio of projects specialise in having strong social and environmental benefits, having positive impacts on local employment, poverty rates and wildlife conservation.
"It's about the whole journey. We continue to evolve and improve our environmental positioning on a daily basis.
I started LOVE BRAND & Co. with a caring attitude towards wildlife and the environment. This is not to say we were perfect from the beginning. What is important however, is that we cared about what we were doing from the beginning and we are still caring today. It is what motivates us. And step by step, with willingness, we continue to improve our processes to be kinder to the planet.
Our swimsuits were made from non-recycled polyamide – now they are made from recycled plastic. Our linen and cotton products are now certified organic. Our buttons were plastic, now they are made from Corozo nut. Our printing was traditional rotary which uses more water, now we print digitally or by dye-sublimation. Our supply-chain was all over the world, now it is localised in Europe, reducing carbon footprint. We also now carbon-offset our online orders which 10 years was not something that was easy to implement, like it is today.
Next year, we are excited to be introducing closed loop recycling with our Staniel swim shorts. Whereby you will be able to send us your old LOVE BRAND & Co. Staniel Swim Shorts and we will recycle them again into new Swim Shorts.
I hope LOVE BRAND & Co. can have a positive impact. I hope that our brand will help us to see the day where wild elephants are no longer being persecuted but rather co-existing on our planet in peace."
