This summer LOVE BRAND & Co. is collaborating with Collagerie, celebrating our curation of the best sustainable sunny essentials for summer 2022.
Collagerie founders Serena Hood and Lucinda Chambers have been dominating the British Fashion Industry for over 25 years collectively, and we are delighted to partner with them on an edit of their favourite pieces. We also get to quiz them on their favourite travels...
Serena who was the former Executive Fashion Director at British Vogue before founding Collagerie tells us about her most meaningful travel memory.
"Namibia... I went with my [now] husband on a flying safari along the Skeleton Coast, hopping between isolated camps giving us a bird’s eye view of this magical country. The vista was truly extraordinary, from dramatic rock formations to roaring dunes, each day was filled with jaw-dropping discoveries and, at moments, like we were on another planet! The true highlight was that my husband proposed at the end of the trip, making it all the more magical."
With her ambitious nature, Serena says her best piece of advice would be, "Learn how to pivot and go the extra mile in everything you do. I’ve never been one to take “no” as my first answer and love solving a challenge!"

After working as the Fashion Director of British Vogue, Lucinda Chambers worked as a stylist for multiple luxury and high street brands, her best advice looking back on all of her successes would be, "the only thing you have to fear is fear itself, so go for it!". We asked Lucinda the same question and she tells us of her travel adventures with wildlife. "We went to Makalali in South Africa. My son drove the monkeys mad so they threw a stone aiming at his forehead, he still has the scar, the lions roamed outside our hut so we couldn’t go in for quite a while, and, most incredibly, we came across a clearing in the jungle where about 15 elephants stood in a circle while two of them mated. There was no sound. I will never forget this!"
We also asked Lucinda to describe the perfect family holiday. "My perfect family holiday is in our farmhouse near Toulouse. It is where, over the years, we have family and friends to stay, go brocanting and eat delicious food, taking it in turns to cook and wash up of course! It is where we have laughed the most, cried a little and love to go again and again."
